Cinnamon Spice Oatmeal

Did you love the cinnamon spice packet oatmeal? I did, so I recreated it with ingredients that make me feel my best. I love re-creating favorites because I like knowing exactly what I am consuming, and what I am feeding my family.

There is nothing wrong with the convenience of the pre-packaged Quaker oatmeal…BUT you can also make a batch yourself and eat it throughout the week. We’re swapping out the processed sugar and vague “natural flavors”.

OATS: antioxidants | fiber| immunity boost | weight control | satiation

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 3/4 Cups Filtered Water

  • 1 Cup Non-Dairy Milk of Choice (unsweetened!)

  • 2 Cups Quick Cook Oats (Gluten Free)

  • 3 Tsp. Cinnamon

  • 1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg

  • 1/2 Tsp. Allspice

  • 1/2 Tsp. Cloves

  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

  • 1/4 Cup Pure Maple Syrup

Combine all ingredients in a pot and cook on the stove top at medium heat. Stir ingredients together well, and allow to cook slowly until the oatmeal is a consistency that you enjoy. That’s it!

Add whatever toppings float your boat, but its honestly delicious as is. This recipe is Slater approved! :)

Store in the fridge and enjoy daily.
