Hi! I’m Kecia and I’m so glad you’re here.

Fitness has always been part of who I am, but my approach and my mindset have changed a lot over the years.

As a former division one and professional soccer player, I learned quickly what my physical boundaries were, and continuously pushed them as far as I could. I trained at high intensities for as long as I can remember, with little regard for how I fueled my body or how negative my inner dialogue became. I was super fit, the strongest I’d ever been, and thriving in my sport, but there was still so much that I was missing. I share this because even though there are endless conversations I wish I could have with my younger self about balance and grace, I also realize that this is the beauty of a fitness journey. We learn. We change. We grow.

After I hung up my cleats for good, my transition to life without soccer was weird, to say the least. I maintained a solid work ethic when it came to fitness, but I remember feeling so out of body. I no longer had practices, games, and lifts built into my daily routine, and my body was no longer a means to an end…I had a new found freedom when it came to how I wanted to train. On top of that, my lack of understanding when it came to nutrition and what my body needed became extremely obvious.

Fortunately, I have always loved to learn. I slowly developed a better understanding of who I am and how I operate. I started to figure out how to train, fuel, and care for myself both emotionally and mentally without ever abandoning the parts of myself that made me a great athlete.

THIS IS THE BEAUTY OF A FITNESS JOURNEY —

we learn. we change. we grow.

In 2021 I made the decision to invest in educating myself so that I can confidently share my passion for an active and balanced lifestyle with you. I started my business, worked with clients remotely (thank you those of you who trusted me from the literal day one — you know who you are), created programs for women to follow from home, and started sharing more of how I intertwine fitness and life…because you can’t separate the two.

And then, I became a mom.

I absolutely love being a mom, but it absolutely changed my life…which is an obvious statement. What took me longer to realize was that every time my body went through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum changes I had to treat myself like a brand new client.

Being pregnant, breastfeeding, and navigating postpartum — and then doing it all all over again — completely reshaped how I view my body and how I approach caring for it.

I had to ask: what do you enjoy doing when it comes to working out? What do you realistically have time for? How important is fitness at this stage of your life?

My answers were different both times. Which brings me back to the fact that we need support.

Being pregnant, breastfeeding, and navigating postpartum — and then doing it all all over again — completely reshaped how I view my body and how I approach caring for it.

I love helping women — moms or otherwise — take back the ownership they have over their body and their time. I love providing the space to allow them to walk into their potential at their own pace. It’s such a gift to take on this journey alongside every single woman who steps foot in my gym or works with me in any capacity. I hope you always feel welcome.

Vitality, by definition, is the state of being strong and active. It’s an energy. A vibe.

I can’t think of a better way to describe what I hope to create with you, through movement and self-love, as we train together. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me, and I cannot wait to get to know you!

A FEW MORE THINGS ABOUT ME

Riley and I have two beautiful boys — Slater and Malcom — and parenting is an ever-changing journey for us. Neither one of us has experienced the magic of brotherhood within our own families, so watching the two of them grow together is such an expansive experience.

My husband, Riley, and I eloped in Joshua Tree, California in May of 2021 because we, like many others, had to postpone our big celebration due to Covid-19. We have been together for nearly 14 years, and it truly just keeps getting better. We settled in Ontario after Riley retired from his hockey career, and we now live close to his family and long time friends. I’d sink without him, and we love sharing what works and what doesn’t with one another when it comes to fitness and health.

Donuts are absolutely my guilty pleasure. I make it a mission to scope out the best donuts in every city we live in. Riley even had my favorite Ontario-based donuts at our engagement! I’m always open to recommendations in my search for the all-time favorite.
